EUROSATORY 2024: Innovation in response to today’s challenges

EUROSATORY, the Global Event for Defence and Security, will be held from 17 to 21 June 2024 at Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, France.

This trade gathering will offer a chance to view the latest new technological solutions and innovations along with the trends that are emerging in the sector, in the fields of defence, safety/security and crisis management.

Among the many innovations and new propositions presented this year by exhibitors, several focus on simulation and training, object detection and location, vehicles and their dedicated attachments, and solutions in response to natural disasters.

SIMULATION AND TRAINING

VR SIMULATOR – 6 FREEDOM

(HALL 5A – H255)

TRAINING IN VIRTUAL REALITY

This virtual reality (VR) simulator enables learners to enjoy immersive experiences in ultra-realistic virtual environments.

Wearing an XR headset, learners find themselves immersed in simulated work situations, such as emergencies or maintenance scenarios, where they have to identify and solve problems as if they were in the field.

This simulation can be carried out in virtual reality, or augmented by the use of connected equipment for even greater immersion

ROBOTIC TARGET MODULAR (RTM) – POLYTRONIC INTERNATIONAL AG

(HALL 5A – H256)

HUMANOID ROBOT FOR

A SHOOTING TARGET

The Robotic Target Modular (RT-M) is a robotic target system to enhance the training of armed forces in terms of realistic situations and immersions, thanks to its semi-autonomous, interactive and scalable features.

The LOMAH technology (Line of Movement and Hit Sensing) and the zonal shot detection system offer it the possibility of carrying out realistic reactions such as retreat.

Its impact sensor meanwhile enables it to react appropriately to bullet hits. The robot cans furthermore adopt military patrol formations and display tactical responses to shooter engagement.

Designed to be used in indoor or outdoor live fire training by day or night, the Robotic Target Modular is the most versatile version at Polytronic, and is adaptable to the wide variety of its users’ needs.

DRONE DETECTION AND LOCATION

HELMA-P – CILAS (HALL 5B – A184)

NEUTRALISING UAVS WITH HIGH PRECISION

HELMA-P (High Energy Laser for Multiple Applications – Power) is designed to engage in flight UAV (class I) and asymmetric threats.

The system is capable of detecting, identifying, tracking and neutralising an agile target with extreme precision in both operational theatres and urban environments.

HELMA-P is adaptable on vehicles, robots, ships and interoperable with any C2 (Command and Control) system and BMS (Battle Management System).

It has a range of one to several kilometres.

It offers a gradual range of responses, from optical jamming to neutralisation or ignition, invisibly and silently, with surgical precision.

Working without ammunition, this system has no logistical constraints.
